Uriel Oputa, a former participant of the Big Brother Naija reality show, revealed that the faux relationship she staged with her colleague Groovy played a part in the end of her previous relationship.
Following a video of Uriel, 34, and Groovy, 29, kissing, rumors about their relationship spread widely. However, they later clarified that it was all a planned “stunt” and that the kiss had been “scripted.”
Uriel spoke about the aftermath of the stunt on the latest episode of the Spill With Phyna podcast, disclosing that despite the disclaimer, the stunt had negative repercussions on her personal life.
She mentioned, “Many people believed that my relationship stunt with Groovy was genuine. Fans were already showing support for our ‘relationship.’ It was tough because I received numerous calls. A part of the reason I ended my previous relationship was because of the Groovy stunt.”
