Amidst the controversy surrounding the death of Promise Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, Pastor Adewale Giwa, the Senior Pastor of Awaiting the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Ministry, has expressed his opinion that the police should not waste time.
According to Pastor Giwa, the musician had already disclosed the individuals who were after his life in various viral clips, as well as in a petition he wrote a few months ago before his untimely death.
The renowned pastor criticized the father of the deceased for his actions following his son’s death.
Pastor Giwa emphasized that given the circumstances surrounding the musician’s death, especially because he was a celebrity, the father should not have hurriedly buried him.

“Since the incident happened, I haven’t been able to sleep. I do not know him personally, and I have never met him. The circumstances surrounding his death are puzzling,” Pastor Giwa stated.
“I have carefully studied and watched various videos regarding him, and responsible parents do not sit back and watch their children being murdered without seeking justice for the culprits,” he continued.

“I do not understand what has happened to Nigeria or the music industry in Nigeria. Why do you want to become famous at all costs? This should serve as a lesson to aspiring artists to take their time and not rush into fame. It is a valuable lesson,” Pastor Giwa advised.
“I urge the Inspector General of Police to immediately order his officers. There is no need to wait for an investigation. In the videos I have watched, the young man himself mentioned his enemies. So, the police should not wait for an investigation but should proceed to arrest whoever is involved in his death,” he added.
“I also plead with the Inspector General of Police to urgently exhume Mohbad’s body and carry out an autopsy examination. The videos showing the torment he endured before his death are disturbing,” Pastor Giwa requested.
Pastor Giwa further stressed that “confraternity has taken over both Christian and secular music in Nigeria. Unless you belong, you cannot make progress; this is absurd. This nonsense must be stopped.”
“The deceased’s father should not have quickly buried his son like that. He should have contacted the police and informed them about how his son was killed. But I don’t think he did that. He should have waited and reported the issue to the police before proceeding with the burial. In that regard, he failed as a father. He should have investigated the actual cause of his son’s death. He made a grave mistake,” he criticized.
“It is not too late; the police know what to do. They buried him a few days ago, and the body is still fresh. They can go right now and exhume his body for an autopsy,” Pastor Giwa suggested.
“If the father had truly fulfilled his role as a father in his son’s life, he wouldn’t have hurriedly buried him. This should also serve as a lesson to parents out there to take good care of their children,” he concluded.
