Osho has officially departed from his position as head coach of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) team, Awka United. His decision to leave comes after the team’s underwhelming start to the 2023/24 NPFL season, managing only three wins in 14 league matches. Expressing his gratitude, the young tactician took to social media to thank the club’s management, particularly acknowledging Paul Bassey for their support during his tenure.
In his message, he wrote, “ELDER PAUL BASSEY, Sir, I can’t thank you enough for my time at Akwa United FC. You’re a rare breed that deserves all happiness and success. We gave it our all but it was not to be. This temporary set back will be followed by unimaginable success. I will forever appreciate you.”
Akwa United is now expected to announce Osho’s replacement as they prepare for their upcoming match against Sunshine Stars on Thursday.
