Baseball star, Michael Kopech and Vanessa Morgan, his wife, are splitting up shortly after the actress revealed they were expecting a baby boy.

The 24-year-old pitcher for the Chicago White Sox filed for divorce in his home state of Texas on June 19, according to The Chicago Tribune, citing court records from Morris County. The hearing date has not been listed.

A representative for Morgan confirmed to PEOPLE that Kopech is the father of Morgan’s baby on the way, but declined to comment on the divorce filing.
